A former team support specialist at Highmark in Pittsburgh, Timika Pettus is a passionate gardener who maintains an urban garden and an aero garden and is interested in canning vegetables. Steelers rookie Chase Claypool set a record in only his second NFL game on September 20. The 22-year-old native of Abbotsford, British Columbia, recorded an 84-yard touchdown reception on a pass from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in the second quarter of a game against the Denver Broncos. With the catch, he established a new record for the longest touchdown reception in NFL history by a Canadian. Claypool finished the game with three catches for 88 yards. Pittsburgh defeated Denver 26-21.
Selected by the Steelers in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Claypool spent the prior four seasons at the University of Notre Dame. He led the team in receptions (66), receiving yards (1,037), and touchdowns (13) in 2019 and accumulated 2,159 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns through his collegiate career.
